Folding at Home since 2020

Folding at Home since 2020

Ever since 2020 I have used Folding at Home to help process some of the data that biologists need to describe certain biomolecules. The folding at home system uses both GPU and CPU to render some of the models of the molecules of interest. This ranges from COVID-19, other virus, bacteria, those that are a factor in genetic defects. Folding at home is great when I have put 100 units for processing and they have went on to be a factor in some of the medical research papers. Initially I had done updates on this via Neocities but that became low priority once school and work took root in my life. For awhile between 2022–2023 I went on a Hiatus for the same reasons. Then I returned in 2023 to get back to my first dream and first contribution once the spotlight faded away from COVID-19. For me I have not stopped because I have a background in biology where it is important to know the characteristics of molecules and how it will affect the patients. All in all I will still remained supportive of Folding at Home even though the spotlight has faded away from biology research mainly because it’s who I am it’s to remain committed to medical research.
